Bilal begins his rideshare career driving an MG5 EV

Bilal is one of our newest customers, joining Splend only a few months ago. Needing more flexibility, he decided to become driver after being a chauffeur for five years. After visiting us at our London Hub for the first time, he decided to begin his Uber driver career with us and returned home with a brand new MG5 EV.

I chose this car because of its generous boot space and extra legroom. It’s so comfortable, silent, and very economical.

Getting familiar with the charging process seemed difficult initially. 

I had a bit of a hard time with charging at first, but now that I know exactly how to do it, where and when to go, it’s much easier. There are many apps that can help you with this process. Just give yourself enough time and ask for some guidance.

Bilal prefers charging his car overnight using lamppost charging stations around his house. He hopes that London will soon have an extended charging network.

I feel like the charging infrastructure could expand. The existing one is already overwhelmed by how many EVs are currently in London.

A simple Google search got him to Splend. He contacted us for the attractive MG5 offer and soon left home with his brand new EV.

Bilal’s plans for the near future are to get used to the ridesharing industry and to build a driving strategy to help him maximise his earnings as an Uber driver.
