Omar joins the electric car revolution in the new Hyundai IONIQ Electric

Masters student Omar was all smiles when he visited Splend to pick up his brand-new Hyundai IONIQ Electric on our Flexi own subscription. After previously renting a car through a competitor, Omar decided to join the Splend community of on-demand drivers thanks to the quick and simple sign-up process.

This was the first time Omar sat behind the wheel of an electric car, so there was a mixture of nerves and excitement.

On why he decided to make the switch to driving Uber in an EV, Omar was forthright in highlighting the cost savings:
