Find out how you can save by exchanging your used EV with Splend.
Part-exchange is the process of using the value of your current car to offset the cost of a new car. At Splend, once we agree to a part-exchange, we provide you with the credit upfront. That means, until you’ve used up all your credit, you will not pay for your Splend EV.
Here’s an example:
If you decided to part exchange a Toyota Prius Hybrid that had a final valuation of £8,000 and sign up with Splend in an MG4 on our 5-year Flexi own subscription at £255 per week.
£8,000 / £255 = 31.3 weeks
By using the £8,000 credit upfront, there would be 31.3 weeks where your weekly payment would be £0 (normally £255).
By the end of the 31.3 weeks, you would have recovered the value of your previous asset by not paying the full weekly payment.
What factors can impact my car’s valuation?
There are several factors that can impact the value of your car. The main ones are age, mileage, condition, and service history.
What are the two different valuation types for Part Exchange?
There are two types of valuations you can receive from Splend.
Estimated Valuation – provided over the phone, we use the up-to-date cap hpi market data to provide as estimated value based on the variables you provide such as plate number, mileage and condition.
Final Valuation – provided in person at our site and involves a physical inspection. The final valuation can vary from the estimated valuation as per the factors above.
What will determine the final valuation of my car?
Our team will inspect your car at our site, performing both a mechanical and cosmetic check to provide you with a final valuation.
Can I Part Exchange if I have outstanding finance?
No, if your car has outstanding finance then we cannot currently offer you part-exchange.
What documents & parts will I need for Part Exchange?
Below is the list of documents & parts required for Part Exchange:
